JP had his surgery almost 2 weeks ago, and he is doing amazing! Both of his feet and his right arm are all in casts, but he is barely slowed down. Grandma and Grandpa Thomas came out for the surgery and had planned on
staying as long as we needed them here to help us. I am happy for JP
but sad for me that we only needed them a little over a week. He has mastered the art of walking in casts...running even. He just looks like he is walking in Ski Boots. He can get around just fine. We expected him to act like he is in more pain, but the only time he fusses is when he gets frustrated with the casts. We still have 4 weeks before they come off, but we have learned that JP can still do just about everything that he could do before...except swim.
He can still:
"Drive" the car,
Swing, Slide down the slide,
work the bubble gun one handed,
Play at the park with Grandpa,
 |
| Ride the Carousel at Boomtown (in his new hat) |
And best of all, JP is still our silly boy!
